OPEN POSITIONS
Sales Engineer / Customer Care Specialist
As a Customer Care Specialist and Sales Engineer, you will have the opportunity to contribute your extensive skills and experience to all aspects of pre and post customer sales support. You are customer-focused, results-oriented, can multi-task effectively, and learn quickly. You enjoy a variety of challenges in a fast paced environment and you ensure that your activities are aligned with business priorities. As well, you will work closely with product development to help evolve LiveQoS’ technology and products to better meet the needs of our customers.
Responsibilities
- Work with Sales to coordinate and execute product trials with customers and partners
- Respond to and fulfill customer service requests
- Manage issue resolution through the full life cycle
- Support product development activities as the customer advocate
- Participate in product verification cycles
- Continuously improve and evolve customer support processes
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of all aspects of customer service and support
- Solid technical expertise and hands-on experience in IP networking and IT systems/applications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Willing and able to travel globally
- 3+ years direct customer support experience

Team Lead
(Permanent Full-Time)
Our Team Lead will contribute to the design and development of the embedded systems software that is the foundation of LiveQoS’ product portfolio while mentoring a close knit team. The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who exhibits a keen interest in networking technologies, Linux and embedded operating systems. This is a position for you if you want to be a senior member of an exciting and growing team developing leading edge loss protection technologies.
Reports To:
This position will report to the VP of Product Architecture.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide management leadership in design, development and delivery of the LiveQoS solution
- Support and coach a group of technical engineers
- Provide input into the design, re-design and development of new products and applications
- Co-ordinate systems installation and software testing with the Product Verification team
- Liaise with the VP of Product Architecture and CTO
- Review, Design and Implement new features
- Maintenance and management of bugs/defects
- Have the opportunity to liaise with customers and embed LiveQoS technology into their products
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Required:
- Analytical disposition

Senior S/W Engineer
(Permanent Full-time)
Our Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the design and development of the embedded systems software that is the foundation of LiveQoS’ product portfolio. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong sense of autonomy and capability for self-directed discovery while working in a challenging and dynamic environment. He/she will be part of our product innovation group and report to the VP of Product Development.

This position will report to the VP of Product Development.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design and Implement new features
- Interface with PLM to define new product features
- Work cohesively with a small specialized team
- Co-ordinate development with a larger team
- Create and maintain clear and structured documentation
- Investigate new fields of relevant study
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Required technical:
- Minimum 8 years C/C++ programming experience on Linux, Windows
- Minimum 8 years developing network applications
- Solid understanding of networking
- TCP/IP, Ethernet Technologies, 802.11 low level protocol knowledge
- Kernel Development experience
- Virtualization, Remote Desktop (RDP, HDX, PCoIP, etc)
- IP Security knowledge
Required further skills:
- Strong software design and methodology background demonstrated through experience
- Great teaching, researching and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Product Verification
(Permanent Full-Time)
Our Product Verification Specialist will contribute to the quality assurance of the embedded systems software that is the foundation of LiveQoS’ product portfolio. The ideal candidate for this position will be someone with prior testing experience, who possesses a strong knowledge of product verification methodologies and tools.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Plan and develop test case documentation
- Detection and management of bugs/defects
- Develop automated test scripts and tools as required
- Work closely with design team to produce defect-free and stable software
- Execution of manual and automated test cases
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Required:
- Proven ability to detect and characterize software defects, and effectively communicate any issues with design teams
- Ability to develop well-organized test documentation and maintain detailed reports
- Strong technical skills – including analytical and problem solving
- Strong protocol validation and debugging experience (using tcpdump, wireshark, etc.)
- Previous experience automating test case execution via scripting languages – such as Tcl/Tk, Perl, Python, or Expect
- Shell scripting knowledge (e.g. Bash)
- General networking and routing knowledge
- Proficient with Linux-based technologies and applications
- Proficient with Windows-based technologies and applications
Desirable:
- Video conferencing and voice-over-IP protocol experience (e.g. H.323, SIP)
- Some exposure to Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
